One of my favorite activities at Brasstown Valley Resort, surprisingly, was our golf lesson with Steve Phelps, the resorts Director of Golf and PGA Professional. My palomino horse, Hermann, was my dream horse as a child and his willful, confident personality delighted me. The Southeast is known typically for sweet muscadine wines, which is not my preferred drop. We loved the views, the games, and the outstanding decor of your comfortable home! It was just a little wet in spots, then really wet everywhere else. With a few adjustments from Steve regarding his grip, stance, and backswing, he was hitting the ball more consistently, and as he likes to say, he likes golf, but LOVES it when hes hitting his drives straight and getting his putts in! We definitely got more than what we expected. I stayed away from the greens, because clearly, I did NOT have it. Fairways were nicely manicured. As one cart guy brought one of us down to the parking lot, another one stomped over to the cart that we were planning on taking back up to the clubhouse. A bit disappointed in condition of greens, as they seemed to be a bit diseased/rotted and also they recently punched and top dressed, but otherwise all was well. The BEST feature is the short flight of stairs to spa rejuvenation. The layout is also challenging and fun. We could not stop taking pictures.

After playing it Sunday, we went back and played it again Monday!! But the fairways, for the most part, are generously wide.
