Ill Give You the Sun is a beautiful novel about a colourful family, falling in love with boys who dont fit the mould, and a lot of self-discovery add it to your pile of YA contemporary immediately! So I'll just keep it short and to the point. Both narrators find their way back to the selves they set aside after their mother's death, and back to their creativity, through a sometimes painful path of human connection that Nelson presents with depth and sensitivity in a way that is very satisfying. Best reason ever, eh? A great, perfect, better-than-cherry-on-top epiphany.
