One of the most influential of these facilities was the Hanford Site, built on 586 square miles of Washington state land. Roughly 50 miles long, its Washingtons clearest, most pristine lake, and is one of the states top summertime destinations! This overlook contains a gift shop and interpretive displays exhibiting the historic and geological points of interest in the area.
