This has a very similar smell to the Caipirinha (Brazilian liquor), very much. I tired a sample of this.

It was so strange for me at first sniffing, because it reminded me of the lemon scented scrubber cream, which is so popular in my country, so I thought at first: is this a perfume? YUCK.
It smells artificial, flat, and there is no sugary sweetness to round it out.

In perfumery lychee is thus used to either lend a fresh, aqueous tonality to a light floral composition (see Laura by Laura Biagiotti), to inject a hint of fruitiness in florientals (Coco Mademoiselle) or to temper other sweeter fruity notes, such as tropical fruits, as per above, or nectarous ones (such as the peach in Maybe Baby by Benefit). But on my mom..you'd swear it was made especially for her.
I'm a musk wearer, so to smell this contrasting fragrance is just delightful to the senses:), It is one of my favorite perfumes. The dry down is sweet and very pretty on me, one of those that I keep wanting to sniff my wrist.

This smells like a pampered, pretty housewife in a daytime television commercial--heavenly creamy lotion mixed with a whiff of lemon-scented cleaning products. The first burst slaps you in the face.
I was disappointed with this fragrance. I had the cleaning fluid reaction that others did- when I wear this it smells as if I've been cleaning my house, and not in a good way. Smells great for a bathroom.

Fresh is obviously no Guerlain, and their interpretation, this Sugar Lemon, smells like floor cleaner. People who think that this scent smells like air freshener probably just don't like the scent of lemon.

What a great pair of companion pieces on this amazing fruit and fragrance! Litchi and roses, litchi and white flowers are great combinations ;o). Those are nice frags with litchi. They have also developed some post-harvest management and technologies for better utilization of the fruit. It's sweet, lemony, light, and refreshing - kind of like lemonade but with a nice sandalwood base which makes it understatedly sexy.

The combination of litchi with honey and rose is especially delicate and graceful,for the reasons mentioned above, reminding us of the elegance of the Chinese civilization where the fruit originally comes from: the effect is beautifully rendered in Miss Charming (Juliette has a Gun), Rykiel Rose, Rose de Siwa (Parfums de MCDC), or Eau Rose (Diptyque). Even though I bought a rollerball of this in Nov. Is what I thought when I sprayed it on my arm. lychee Love! It isa very well-known fruit in Asia, but relatively rare in Africa, the Middle East and America. 
It becomes a skin scent after a few hours, but, when my body heat kicks up, it really comes out again. This is really harsh when first sprayed and reminds of Lemon Pledge, nothing sweet or "sugary" about it at all. Rambutan and pulasan are also similar to lychee, with red or yellow skin, however, long hairs or spinterns replace the protuberances.

Now, sometimes that can be okay - I am one of those odd folks who loves the smell of Windex, for example. My local store had a sale, and all the products in the line were in it. The diameter of the fruit should be larger than 20 or 25 mm for second class or standard fruit, and larger than 33 mm for extra class fruit.

Sugar Lemon was launched during the 2000's. It does, cleaner with handfuls of grass thrown in! It is deeply horrid, like the cheapest poundstore, synthetic junk.I'm using it as a deodorant at the moment which pains me because it wasn't cheap. Although litchi is exotic in origin (as evidenced by its very botanical name and being a sub-tropical cultivar in India) it cannot be really be put on a par with the more standard tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple, coconut and the like. This is my mom's signature scent! Of the total production of lychee in India, 74 percent is contributed by Bihar. Its too hot for anyone to be comfortable, the humidity is heavy, and it seems like the sun is never going to give in and retreat behind the clouds. I like it in Sampaquita Ormonde Jayne and in general this exotic sometimes lotus like smell is great in top notes.
Shall I be the umpteenth person to say "this smells like cleaner"? You feel a little tired, a little listlessyou really could use a break, after all. In fact it's a close second to my SS DKNY woman and I almost always end up with this scent on by the end of the day due to having a rollerball in my purse. I'm just getting straight synthetic lemon, none of the other notes listed here. And trying to remove it? It is sweet, but subtle, refined and mild with a hint of vanillin in the background and lots of freshness like a fine fragrance.
The other fresh sugar scents tend to have really distinct notes (the sugar plus whatever), but this just smelled like sweet fakey lemon, and it was so, so strong. I LOVE lemon scents and citrus anything, but this is way over the top and just nasty. lychee Functionally, male flowers have six to ten stamens.
The aril is generally translucent white, juicy or firm, and sweet and aromatic in better cultivars.

Summer editions especially are naturally more inclined to rely on this charming fruit to give an exotic feel that can carry you to a distant land through the powers of association: Dior with their Addict 2 Summer Litchi limited edition (fruity floral and mild overall) tries, as do Burberry Brit Sheer, Burberry Summer Woman (2009), Kenzo Flower Summer 2011 and even the older Talisman Eau Transparent by Balenciaga. I've had fragrances that I thought were bad, but this takes bad to another level.
