Acrylic is certainly possible, but only had luck with black acrylic. The laser cutter can cleanly cut 6mm plywood plate in one pass. The rod keeps everything locked into space. Then again, power isnt everything. But I can get my ideas into CAD and from there the machines do the rest. Changing USB cables seemed to help. I'll admit that I'm not a professional leather worker, so the tips and tricks you'll read here are more about wanting to get a stamp on a piece of leather once -- not do any actual tooling. Leather engraves and cuts well but boy does it stink! Seems to be a serious player. And for a diode laser machine moving forward this will be the one I recommend. My K40 will do 3mm ply. With the updated firmware, there is smarter fan management along with some other fixes. Makes butting ends together for gluing a pain. The enhancements you chose arent available for this seller. Plywood no. Acrylic evaporates nice without leaving much of a residue so is just an excercise of patience. Thank you for the suggestion! Anyone know any better?
