Knee, calf, fasciitis, piriformis problems happen w/ too-soft shoes. Motion Control shoes limit movement of the foot by stabilizing the arch and limiting flex in the shoe to address severe overpronation. The brooks Hyperion tempo blows all of those out of the water. But as above I am finding the Endorphin Speed is the shoe I reach for and then use an alternative for Easy longer miles ( in my case that is NB1080). The upper locks my foot in well, and the toe box Is wider and more comfortable than the HOKA which gave me a couple of purple toes. Highly recommended! I would say the ride is definitely firmer than the Turbo 2, but the trade off comes with a much more stable platform. These shoes offer a feeling of being connected to the road or trail. The somewhat wider platform and outsole rubber pieces provide more stability than I was expecting. From: Anonymous. It can be an everyday shoe for some if you like lightweight, with just enough cushioning. Love the design, breathable upper, stretchy laces, and responsive midsole. This is the only shoe in the last 20 or 30 years that feels a bit large in my usual 10 1/2 size. Running tempo, intervals, or even just general aerobic days are great in this shoe. I have two pair. Much better traction than all of the previously mentioned road shoes, particularly in wet conditions (shoes shed water well). But I found myself missing a plastic midfoot shank or torsion system.
